AKUA Mind and Body offers IOP in Orange County to individuals who are struggling with a mental health and a substance abuse disorder.
The IOP treatment at AKUA Mind & Body is a lower level of care which means that it does not require hospitalization, around the clock monitoring or even overnight stays but it does provide a thorough array of treatment approaches for both men and women.
Intensive outpatient treatment requires individuals to obtain at least 9 hours of group and/or individual therapy per week which is divided up into 3-hour sessions 3 days to 5 days per week, for a duration of 12-16 weeks.
This part-time therapy approach allows individuals to continue their daily lives without leaving their jobs or families. In most cases, individuals have previously completed a higher level of care such as a residential treatment or partial hospitalization before entering into an intensive outpatient program.
AKUA Mind and Body is a full-service treatment program that offers a wide range of “east meets west” treatment modalities for many different populations struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. We offer both intensive inpatient programs as well as outpatient treatment. AKUA Mind & Body works diligently with each client and their family to ensure that treatment plan is specifically tailored to their needs, and not just their disorder.
AKUA Mind & Body offers gender-specific treatment programs in an intensive outpatient setting in Orange County. Gender-specific treatment is designed to treat only females or only males in a gender-specific setting. This removes some of the distractions and barriers that may arise from being around members of the opposite sex. It also allows clients to feel more comfortable and focused as they recover around peers of the same gender, enabling them to relate over experiences specific to their gender.
